Founded in 1979 by Eric and Margaret Mahy, evolved from Capelles Camping Centre. Expanded from camping equipment into garden furniture, kitchenware, then toys. Eric and Margaret retired in 2008, leaving Jason Mahy and Rob Edwards as Managing Directors. Four generations of the family have worked in the business. Celebrated 40th anniversary in 2019.
Aladdin's Cave is an independent, family-run general merchandise shop in Capelles, St Sampson, founded in 1979 by Eric and Margaret Mahy. Now managed by Jason Mahy and Rob Edwards, the out-of-town store stocks toys and games, homeware, furniture, electricals, arts and crafts, party supplies, outdoor and leisure equipment, and travel goods. A Toymaster buying group member with an on-site café and adjoining fishing supplies outlet. —
