Story

Celebrated 20 years of service on 6 June 2014. The GVS traces its origins to the Women's Voluntary Service (WVS) formed in Guernsey in 1949, becoming independent from the WRVS in 2011.

Blood Donor Service is a volunteer programme operated by Guernsey Voluntary Service (GVS) at Princess Elizabeth Hospital in St Andrew. Established in 1994, GVS volunteers contact registered blood donors to arrange their attendance at the hospital's Blood Bank, confirming availability and health before each session.
