About

Guernsey for Freedom (formerly Abolitionist Guernsey, charity CH 550) is an entirely volunteer-run registered charitable trust working to end hereditary debt-bonded slavery in Northern India. Its flagship One Island One Village programme has freed two villages and is actively supporting four more, at approximately £30,000 per village over three years. It also provides anti-slavery education resources for schools and expert training for local public and private sector organisations.
