Island Archives is the States of Guernsey's official archive service, established by States resolution in 1986. Housed in three floors of the deconsecrated St Barnabas Church in St Peter Port, it collects, preserves, and provides public access to Bailiwick records spanning the 14th century to the present. Collections include States records, parish records, manorial records, German Occupation archives (1940–1945), military records, maps, and photographs. Overseen by the Committee for Education, Sport and Culture, it offers free on-site access to Findmypast and participates in the Bailiwick of Guernsey Digitisation Partnership. —
