Story

Fields donated to the National Trust of Guernsey in 2018. Site of a former battery and watch house; the rock base for the guns is still present.

Les Tielles is a dramatic coastal cliff walk managed by the National Trust of Guernsey. A single-file pathway runs atop 260ft (79m) cliffs above Belle Elizabeth cove, passing the remains of a former battery and watch house. The site also hosts multiple rock climbing crags — Lower Buttress, Barrel Buttress, and West Slab — alongside 46 boulder problems. Located in Torteval, the fields were donated to the National Trust in 2018, with parking on Rue des Tielles and bus access via routes 91 and 92.
