Originally formed as Oak Trust in 1999. In 2018, consolidated with Consortia Partnership (Jersey), Kreston (Isle of Man), and IAG (Guernsey) to form Oak Group. In late 2023, received strategic investment from Pula (Stephen Lansdown's family office). In March 2025, completed transition to private ownership under Opera holding company. In April 2025, acquired Amber Trust Ltd (Bahamas), and subsequently acquired HFL, Accuro, and Meritus Trust Company Limited.
