Terminal originally built in the 1920s, expanded in the 1960s to accommodate demand from the tomato growing industry. In 1955 Shell UK purchased the fuel terminal and Fuel Supplies (C.I.) Ltd operated the site. At the end of 2008 Rubis purchased Shell UK's Channel Islands operations. St Sampson Terminal Limited was incorporated in 2009.

St Sampson Terminal Limited owns and operates a bulk liquid storage terminal in St Sampson, providing road, heating, marine and aviation fuel supply along with bulk storage of chemical and agri-food products. Incorporated in 2009 as a subsidiary of the Rubis Group — which acquired Shell UK's Channel Islands operations in 2008 — the terminal site dates to the 1920s, expanding in the 1960s to serve the island's tomato growing industry. The company holds an annual licence for storage of inflammable oils issued by the Guernsey Health & Safety Executive, and is regulated by Guernsey Fire and Rescue Service. —
