First Admiral Nurse service in the Channel Islands, launched 12 April 2023
Admiral Nurse Service is a specialist dementia nursing service operated by States of Guernsey Health & Social Care in partnership with Dementia UK, based at the Oberlands Centre in St Martin. Launched in April 2023 as the first Admiral Nurse service in the Channel Islands, it supports families and carers of people with dementia through one-to-one consultations, emotional and psychological support, practical guidance, and free dementia awareness training. Self-referrals are accepted. The service won the Dementia Nurse Award at the 2025 UK Dementia Care Awards. —
