Initiated in 1949 by the Saturday Club after islanders returned post-war. Officially formed in 1953 as The Alderney Drama Club. 2019 marked the 70th anniversary.

Alderney Theatre Group is a registered charity (CH488) and community theatre organisation that has been promoting dramatic arts on Alderney since 1949, formally constituted in 1953 as the Alderney Drama Club. It produces theatre, pantomimes, musical plays, outdoor performances, cabaret, and comedy nights, and runs the annual Alderney Week Gala Night and Youth Drama Workshop. The group has received awards at the National Drama Festival and the Guernsey One Act Play Festival. —
