Founded 1927 with Lady Sackville-West as first President. Early Presidents included Sir Compton Mackenzie (1929-1939) and Sir Ambrose Sherwill KBE MC (1947-1961). Inactive during WWII German occupation (1940-1945). Over 480 productions in 98 years.
GADOC is an amateur dramatic and operatic society founded in 1927 and based at The Rink, St Sampson. The members' club stages an annual programme of plays, musicals, pantomimes, and the One Act Play Festival, performing at Beau Sejour Theatre. Governed by a committee elected by members, the club has mounted over 480 productions and welcomes members from age 8. —
