Trinity House (formally the Corporation of Trinity House of Deptford Stroud) is the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, the Channel Islands, and Gibraltar. Established by Royal Charter in 1514, it operates four lighthouses in the Bailiwick: Les Hanois (1862, off SW Guernsey), Casquets (1724, off Alderney), Alderney Lighthouse (1912, Quénard Point), and Sark Lighthouse (1913, Point Robert). It is also a maritime charity, Deep Sea Pilotage Authority, funded by Light Dues levied on commercial vessels. —
