Officially opened 2 April 2016 by the Bailiff. Phase 3 of the Friends of Saumarez Park Playground Appeal, which raised funds for a complete park makeover starting in 2013.

Saumarez Park Outdoor Gym is a free, publicly accessible outdoor fitness facility in the Castel parish, set within Saumarez Park. It features ten exercise machines covering resistance, balance, aerobic, and core training. Open dawn to dusk year-round with no booking required. The equipment was donated by Bowel Cancer Guernsey and the site is managed by the States of Guernsey Agriculture, Countryside and Land Management Service. It opened in April 2016. —
