Founded January 7, 1913 by Abraham J. Simon. First show held September 24-25, 1913 at Les Islets Arsenal with over 800 entries. 100th show celebrated August 16-17, 2023. Peak membership of 2,565 in 1987. First female president Carole Turner elected 2008. Cancelled 2020 due to COVID-19.
The West Show is Guernsey's annual agricultural and horticultural show, held over two days each August at L'Eree Aerodrome in St Pierre du Bois. Founded in 1913, it features livestock competitions, horticultural classes, arts and crafts, live music, a funfair, food stalls, and arena entertainment across 80+ vergees.
