Founded in 1948 by Philip Perrée, who converted a tumbledown 16th-century farmhouse into a three-room hotel. Now run by his daughter Elizabeth Perrée, who trained at Tante Marie School of Cookery before returning to Sark to expand it to 22 rooms.
La Sablonnerie Hotel is a 3-star, family-owned hotel and restaurant on the car-free island of Little Sark, established in 1948. Originally a 16th-century farmhouse converted by Philip Perrée, it is now operated by his daughter Elizabeth Perrée. The 22-room hotel offers fine dining with Channel Islands cuisine sourced from its own farm and gardens, a tea garden, and wedding receptions for up to 50 guests. —
