About
Office of the Data Protection Authority (ODPA) is the independent supervisory authority for data protection regulation across the Bailiwick of Guernsey, established in 2018 under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2017. Formerly the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner, it registers organisations, handles individual rights complaints and breach reports, and can issue administrative fines of up to £10 million. Funded through registration fees, with a team of around 15 staff, led by Commissioner Brent Homan and chaired by Richard Thomas CBE. —
