Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service is the statutory fire and rescue service for the Bailiwick, established in 1922 and operating under The Fire Services (Guernsey) Law 1989. A States of Guernsey department headquartered at Town Arsenal in St Peter Port, it provides firefighting, fire prevention, road traffic accident response, flood assistance, hazardous substance management, fire safety inspections, smoke and CO alarm fitting, and cliff rescue. It also operates the Airport Fire Service at Guernsey Airport with 36 trained firefighters. —
