St Peter Port Lifeboat Station

First lifeboat placed on Guernsey in 1803 at St Sampson. RNLI took over management in 1861. Station moved to St Peter Port in 1881. Over 1,500 launches and 600+ lives saved. Station has received 2 RNLI Gold Medals, 14 Silver Medals, and 15 Bronze Medals. Harold Hobbs, son of the Coxswain, was killed by German aircraft strafing in June 1940 during WWII.
