Earliest record circa 1236. Present structure rebuilt in 1796. Mill and adjoining lands given to the Alderney Society. Underwent approximately 20 years of volunteer-led restoration, completed circa 2018.

The Watermill is a free, open-access heritage attraction in Bonne Terre Valley, Alderney, with origins dating to circa 1236. The present structure was rebuilt in 1796 and features a restored 17ft waterwheel and working blacksmith's forge. Managed by the Alderney Society following a 20-year volunteer restoration, it also serves as a wedding venue. —
