Current church designed by John Wilson and built in 1818 on the site of an earlier church (dedicated to St Philip) consecrated on 4 November 1140. The tallest steeple on Guernsey; used as a sea mark for mariners. Houses the oldest bell in the Channel Islands, dating from 1432. Distinctive round tower with both crenellations and a spire.

Torteval Church (St Philippe de Torteval) is an Anglican parish church serving Torteval, the smallest of Guernsey's ten parishes. Built in 1818 on a site consecrated in 1140, it features the Channel Islands' oldest bell (1432) and Guernsey's tallest steeple, historically a sea mark. Weekly services include Eucharist and Evensong; the church also offers weddings, funerals, baptisms, and family services. An active youth choir, hall hire, and an ecumenical partnership with Torteval Methodist Church round out its community offer. Fully accessible with ramped entrance and hearing loop. —
